You, ACME and Teens Aging Out of Foster Care

ACME is running a promotion, which can help teens aging out of foster care set up a new apartment. ACME will give a bonus stamp for every $10 you spend that can be turned in for Cuisinart pots and pans. Cookware is something that’s hard to come by for these teens setting up housekeeping for the first time. Having new cookware is an incredible treat to someone who has no family who can give them new pots and pans.

Please ask for the stamps when you shop at ACME and ask your family, friends and neighbors to collect for you, too. As you fill the stamp books, turn them in to the ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) team. We'll collect them until the promotion ends on January 6th, 2015 so we can obtain as many sets of cookware possible.

ILYA is the First U Social Justice team that supports teens aging out of foster care in a number of ways. For more information or if you have questions, please contact Betty Wier at bwier@udel.edu or Lois Morris at lcm2unow@yahoo.com or J Harry Feldman at JHarryF@aol.com about household donations. The ILYA team and the teens thank you!
