With democracy on the rise in Burma – known internationally as Myanmar today – this nation in southeast Asia, once shut off to foreign travelers, has recently opened their borders. The Fosses, Marrs and Pinsons spent several weeks in early 2014 cruising along the Irrawaddy River, exploring the many gilded pagodas and visiting the warm, welcoming people along the banks of the river, as well as making shorter visits to Laos and Thailand. Come share in our experience as we display photos and paintings depicting the stories of our remarkable visit. Our display is set up along the 2nd floor hallway outside Brunner Chapel and the Music Room and will continue through November. Both photos and paintings are available for sale. Please contact the artists directly to arrange a purchase, with payment and delivery following the show . All profits after costs of printing and framing will be donated to the ongoing UUSC Guest at Your Table program.
