Who Gets College Care Packages?

ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) has a new group of first-year college students who have aged out of foster care to add to our list of college care package recipients. As you can see from the profiles below, they'll support a varied and strong future workforce. Some first-time students are:
A Delaware State University social work major, a student at Wilmington University who's a lacrosse player and waiting to declare a major, a University of Delaware student majoring in Criminal Justice, a Wilkes University student pursuing business, marketing and fashion, and a Del Tech student majoring in Criminal Justice.
Some returning students this year are:
A University of Delaware student majoring in occupational therapy, a Del Tech student pursuing a medical editor degree, a University of Delaware accounting major, a Del Tech early childhood education major and a Del Tech human services major.
College Care Packaged are sent every 6-8 weeks with goodies and sometimes life necessities that say, “We care about you” and “Good job! Keep up the good work” or “Hang in there through the freshmen transition challenges”. You can help support a student. Please see Betty Wier or Sue Wilson in the parish hall at coffee hour to help.
