Legislative Update on Climate Bill

The 2015 Action of Immediate Witness/UUA/GA states:
“…we are responsible as people of faith to mitigate, avert, and limit the potential catastrophes of climate change, standing with other faith traditions caring for our common home;  that Unitarian Universalists will participate in and support mobilizations nationally such as the Moral March for Climate Justice in September 2015 during the Papal visit to Washington DC, pressing our government to act urgently and responsibly…”

Thank you to all who came out to the inter-faith vigil for climate justice and legislation on Sept. 23!  To quote Paul Pinson, “As  UU's, we have to be out there.”   Senator Coons spoke at the inter-faith vigil and Senator Coons is co-sponsoring The The American Energy Innovation Act of 2015, which includes programs essential to economic growth in the energy sector that empower consumers, modernize infrastructure, cut carbon pollution and waste, invest in clean energy, and support research and development.
