Chalice Lighters Sunday is December 6 this church year. This is when we celebrate the differences that Chalice Lighters grants have made for UU congregations throughout the Joseph Priestley district. Chalice Lighters are the people throughout the district who pledge to contribute $20 (or more) three times a year. Every dollar of these small donations is put into the Chalice Lighter grant fund. A district committee reviews grant applications and awards grants to support growth. Chalice Lighter grants have helped to support new staff positions and to fund new programs, buildings, audiovisual equipment, and updated websites, and much more. Be a Chalice Lighter.
