The Church in Winter

Winter in our church means that our building staff and volunteers are challenged to keep the grounds clear of ice and snow, the building warm, and the building clean. Plus, we have a large facility with multiple heat zones, so it isn’t always easy to keep it comfortable. Here are some things you can do to help!

• When you enter the building, take a moment to wipe your feet, especially if they are wet with snow and ice.
• Be careful, we try to keep the floors clean and dry, but when a lot of people enter at one time, they can get wet.
• Keep doors that lead to vestibules and hallways closed to keep the heat in the space you are using.

Thanks! We never know what to expect each winter but we know some bad weather is guaranteed to happen. We will put an announcement on WSTW  and WDEL when we close the church building due to inclement weather. You can listen on the radio, or go to the WSTW web site at  http://www.wstw.com/ and click on SnoWatch.  If we decide to close the building, we contact renters and group leaders who are scheduled to use the building.
