It's not too late!

Last Sunday we were honored to have two young women who are recipients of support from ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) speak from the pulpit about their experiences aging out of foster care. Empress talked about the challenge of setting up a first apartment and how helpful the support from ILYA was. Samantha told about her experience in college and how she's graduating debt-free due significantly to the support from ILYA.  Their comments were recorded and can be heard on the church website.
The special collection on Sunday funds much of the support ILYA provides the young people needing help when their supports stop at age 18.  Apartment security/utility deposits, admission and book fees, emergency grants, delivery fees for donated furniture/household goods and others are all paid for by your donations. Thank you all for your generosity; we raised $1,777.42! And there's still time if you missed us on Sunday. Just write ILYA on the memo line and send your check to the church. You tax deductible contribution will be a huge help to a young person with great need and a great future (with our help). Please give as generously as you can. The ILYA team and the young people we serve thank you!
