On April 10th, the Special Offering will go to the work of UUSC, the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee-OUR UU human rights organization, based on our UU principles.  When you support UUSC, you are challenging injustice and advancing human rights around the world as the Service Committee partners with those who confront unjust power structures and mobilize to challenge oppressive policies.   We take on the “sandpaper” issues-those that other churches and organizations won't touch.  UUSC started in Europe rescuing those targeted by the Nazis before most Americans were aware of what Hitler was doing.  We're in the Middle East and Europe now, helping refugees deal with the trauma they've experienced in the war in Syria.  UUSC is in a dozen countries in the U.S., Central & South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, promoting economic and environmental justice, protecting civil liberties, and advancing the rights of people left behind during humanitarian crises.  On April 10th, come prepared to make a generous contribution toward the work of our UUSC.
