As the school year ends, ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults – the First U Social Justice project that supports young people aging out of foster care) is preparing for our “Big Bang” finally. Graduation is a huge accomplishment for these young people who have experienced instability with little support and resources. We can let them know how proud we are of them and encourage them to continue building successes with our Graduation Backpack and Pizza Party Project. The ILYA team needs help to make this happen. Won't you please donate to buy or shop for the gifts we put in the backpacks? Or donate to help pay for the pizza party? Barbara Perry and Amy Barch will be available during coffee hour the next 2 Sundays to assist you or you could send a check to First U with “ILYA Backpacks” on the memo line.
