Friday, June 3, or Thursday, June 9
Mark your calendar for a special opportunity for you to view selections from a new film currently in production that features the strong influence of Unitarian Universalism on President Barak Obama. Obama Made in Hawaii, brings out the impact of Barak's grandparents, founders of the UU congregation in Honolulu, on his upbringing and the formation of his character. We will meet in the Brunner Chapel at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 3, or Thursday, June 9. There will be refreshments and an opportunity to learn more about the details of the filmmaking. There is no fee or obligation, but should you wish, there will be information about how to contribute to help finish the editing. This film preview has been shown at other UU congregations in our region and was part of a workshop on The Beloved Community at the recent Joseph Priestley District Assembly attended by Rev. Roberta Finklestein. Questions–email joanwpriest@verizon.net or phone 610-869-9335.
