Book Corner Reopens On Sunday, September 18th!

Welcome back to the new church year at First Unitarian! Great News – Book Corner will reopen on Sunday, September 18, with Suzie Cornell as your friendly Book Corner volunteer! As you may know, we recently lost a faithful Book Corner volunteer, Lisa Jacobs, to another local UU church. We need fellow book lovers to ensure that Book Corner is open every Sunday. Please contact one of us to volunteer!
The new UUA Common Read selection is The Third Reconstruction: Moral Mondays, Fusion Politics, and the Rise of a New Justice Movement, by Reverend Dr. William J. Barber. We have ordered 10 copies of the paperback version, which will be available the end of October. We have also ordered two copies of Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do? by Michael J. Sandel. This book accompanies an online course from Harvard University that Parry Norling plans to offer at First Unitarian in the spring.
