The Unitarian Universalist Delaware Advocacy Network (UUDAN) is a new advocacy organization formed in June 2016. We offer a new dimension for UU social justice programs in Delaware providing a vehicle to research and draft legislation and lobby for reform measures in Dover. UUDAN has tentatively identified three major issues for the 2017 legislative session:
Police Excess Use of Force
Solitary Confinement
Racial Profiling
Between now and Thanksgiving, we will be providing UU congregations with additional information about UUDAN. You can visit our website at www.uudeladvo.org which is currently a work in progress. After Thanksgiving, we will begin formal recruitment of congregation members to join UUDAN.
To learn more, visit the UUDAN table during social hour on 9/18.
