Save the Dates! We are delighted to announce that Rev. Kathleen McTigue, Director of the UU College of Social Justice will be at First U in October. The UU College of Social Justice (uucsj.org) is a joint project of the Unitarian Universalist Association and the UU Service Committee. The mission of the College is to inspire and sustain faith-based action for justice on issues of local, national and global importance.
Rev. McTigue will lead a workshop on Saturday October 15th (1 pm – 4:30 pm) entitled “Speaking Justice in the Language of Our Faith.” This workshop is designed to help congregants discern together our core aspirations for justice, and explore new ways to focus our energy and attention so we can have a greater impact. Rev. McTigue will also be leading worship on Sunday morning October 16th. After the service she will host an informal Q&A session about the College of Social Justice.
