Please join your 2017 First Unitarian Church GA delegates on Sunday, August 20th at 11:45 a.m. in Brunner Chapel where we will offer light refreshments and discuss our impressions of this year’s General Assembly in New Orleans, LA. The discussion will begin at noon. Each delegate will share their experience and bring back the latest news from our larger faith. Childcare will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
“I have attended every General Assembly, except one, beginning in 1990 when I received my preliminary fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association as a newly ordained minister. I continue going to celebrate our larger faith, to experience the highest quality worship services, and to hear powerful speakers discuss the serious issues of our nation and world. There are hundreds of workshops, moving music, and a cornucopia of items for sale that are UU related. As a minister, I have also attended the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association Ministry Days that precede the General Assembly. Together, these events help to deepen my faith, provide vital resources, and connect me to the many others who share our Unitarian Universalist faith.”
