It’s gotten cold outside…

But this holiday season you have the opportunity to create a very warm feeling for a young person who has aged out of foster care. Please sign up to help ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) with their Holiday Giving project. It works like this…
Young people who have aged out of foster care and are now on their own sign up by submitting wish lists through their Independent Living Coordinators. Our project leader, Carolyn Gibson, prepares the lists for volunteers to choose from. Volunteers can take a whole list or choose single items to shop for. Or if you don’t like to shop, cash or check donations are also welcome and someone else will do the shopping for you.
We’ve already gotten many lists covered but we have more young people than ever this year and need more help. We need to have all the gifts ready to wrap and deliver early in December so need all sign-ups in the next week. Please come to the Christmas tree in the parish hall during coffee hour on Sunday or contact Carolyn Gibson at cgibson@upenn.edu or 302-463-8823 or Lois Morris at lcm2unow@gmail.com 302-475-2453 to make a donation.
Thanks for helping to make a nice holiday for a young person who has aged out of foster care.
