“Third Sunday Justice Talks” Begin January 21

Sunday, January 21, 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., marks the first of a new series of “Justice Talks” sponsored by our new Human Rights Task Force. Jack Guerin, co-chair of the Unitarian Universalist Delaware Advocacy Network (UUDAN), will review key issues that are coming before the Delaware General Assembly in the session that begins this month. Jack is a member of UU Mill Creek and co-chairs UUDAN with Donna Shand of the UU Fellowship of Newark. UUDAN is reaching out to work in coalition with other statewide advocates for change. More than 100 people attended its Grassroots Policy Forum in Newark on January 6, which connected UUs with other progressive political and environmental advocacy groups. Come to this “Justice Talks” meeting to learn how you can join people from all five of Delaware’s UU congregations to work on Delaware-specific issues including criminal justice reform, gun violence, mass incarceration, and environmental justice. The meeting will be held in Brunner Chapel. Read more, here.
