The Children and Youth Religious Exploration classes continue to keep busy. In March:
The Seekers (2nd, 3rd, 4th grades) held a fundraiser for Faithful Friends, raising $135, and made catnip toys that they also donated to the group.
The Explorers (5th, 6th, 7th grades) held an Immigration & DACA letter writing campaign after church and sent off 53 letters from our congregation! They are brainstorming their next social justice activity. They also sold snacks at the First U Coffee House, raising $163.
The Youth Group (9th thru 12th grades) went on their annual Poconos retreat in February. In March they discussed Gun Violence and participated in the church “walkout” in March, and learned more about our 7th principle by cleaning up monkey balls on the church property (with many thanks from the Bldgs & Grounds team).
And CONGRATULATIONS to proud parents Jackson (Youth Group Advisor) and Vicky, and big sister, Joyce, on the arrival of Nola Mae Louise Salasky!
