The Grads are coming! The Grads are coming!

And we need your help to be ready for them. ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) wants to make sure every young person graduating from high school who is also aging out of foster care gets the recognition they deserve for this great achievement.
It’s not easy when you’re shifted around to different schools and/or homes to stay focused and succeed in school. It’s not easy when you think no one really cares that you’ve worked so hard against big odds and now you’ve done it. We need to show these young people we do care and celebrate their success.
Please help us with your donation to give them a backpack filled with items they can use in an apartment or dorm room and a celebratory pizza party. You can either see one of the volunteers in the parish hall after the service on Sunday or mail a check to the church with “ILYA Graduation” on the memo line.
The good news is more and more foster youth are graduating high school. The tough news is that we need more and more help to show them we care. Thank you for your generosity!!!
