UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST SERVICE COMMITTEE (UUSC) GUEST AT YOUR TABLE (GAYT) PROGRAM

This Sunday, 10/14, is the beginning of our 2018 Guest At Your Table (GAYT) Program. Our theme this year is “Justice Across Borders,” with special attention given to Central American migrant justice. To help us focus our thinking, consider the following:

UUSC is a 78 year-old human rights organization grounded in UU values and principles.

GAYT is UUSC’s annual program to raise support for and awareness about critical human rights issues, focusing this year on the critical needs of refugees and immigrants.

The UN reports that the current worldwide number of refugees is over 40 million.
UUSC is able to make a difference around the world, along our southern border, and in Central America, because of your support and the support of thousands of other UUs.

Over the next five weeks, learn about the different ways you can support UUSC. Some hints: cash, checks, credit cards, before tax qualified charitable contributions, etc., plus you can give by using GAYT boxes, envelopes, or make online contributions at www.uusc.org.

Let’s do our part by being as generous as we can be. We can help make a difference in the lives of people in 19 different countries around the world, including refugees and immigrants. As the Nike slogan says, “Just Do It.” If you need more information, contact Doyle Dobbins at: d.dobbins@verizon.net.
