Your morning coffee tastes good – but does it also DO good?

It does if it’s from the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) Coffee Project. Equal Exchange is a worker-owned, fair-trade food company with which UUSC collaborates. Equal Exchange offers 100% organic fairly traded coffee, chocolate, and tea to support small farmers throughout the world.
Most tea, even fair trade tea, comes from large, exploitative plantations where workers have little say. A few global companies dominate the chocolate industry and poverty wages and forced child labor continue to be a problem in the cocoa fields of West Africa. But Equal Exchange buys directly from small-scale farmer cooperatives, owned and run by the farmers themselves rather than from industrialized agribusinesses that rely on exploited labor and harmful chemicals. Your Equal Exchange purchase helps build sustainable livelihoods and advance human rights, particularly the rights of women, youth and indigenous peoples.
How can you help?
