This month’s special collection is to fund our monthly cooking efforts for Emmanuel Dining Room (EDR).
As we move into the month of Thanksgiving, we tend to think of a holiday table brimming with wonderful foods that are part of our family traditions. However, not everyone is as fortunate to have adequate food available for themselves and their families, on any given day.
For decades now, First U has been providing a monthly hot lunch at the Ministry of Caring’s main dining room in Wilmington, which serves meals to those in need twice a day, every day, no questions asked. Our Chicken Shepherd’s Pie is still a huge favorite, second only to Fried Chicken Day. We’re proud to offer such a satisfying meal to those less fortunate, and equally proud of our long-standing relationship with the Emmanuel Dining Room.
