Are you looking for a way to get more involved in the mission of First U to “fight injustice?” Come join the Human Rights Task Force (HRTF). We meet this Sunday, February 24, at 9:15 a.m. in Room 26.
This year, we have increased our understanding of the issues and heightened our compassion for those who travel to our nation from Latin America. We held a forum about our nation’s asylum, refugee, and immigration policies. We showed the movie Harvest of Empire and learned how our nation has fueled the instability and violence in these countries. We made welcome cards for asylum-seekers crossing the border and sent them to UUSC to be displayed by our UU partners in Texas. There is so much more we could do
