It’s not only seniors that are anxiously and excitedly thinking about the upcoming graduation season. ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) has already started planning for our 2019 Graduation Backpack and Pizza Party. As for many years in the past, we are preparing gift backpacks filled with items the graduate can take on to a dorm room or new apartment.
We include a set of bath towels with a face cloth and a pop-up hamper. We purchase those at Bed, Bath & Beyond (BBB) which offers us a small discount. But we can also use their coupons making our cash donations go a lot further.
If you have any BBB coupons you’re not using, we’d love to have them. Both the $5 off and the 20% discount coupons can be used. The 20% off discount is larger than the general one they give us but only on an individual item so we’d like as many as we can get.
And remember, BBB honors coupons that are way out of date so don’t throw those old ones out. Bring them to church and give them to Sue Wilson, Amy Barch, Lori Cowan or Lois Morris or put them in the ILYA mailbox slot outside the church office. And thank you for supporting our efforts.
