This Sunday, March 17th, is best known as St. Patrick’s Day and thinking Irish, but for us it is also Justice Sunday-the day to receive a special offering to support the work of UUSC around the world. Its work is all about promoting justice, but also challenging injustice, and advancing human rights, and its theme for this Justice Sunday is “Joining Together for Justice.”
Each year as a congregation we join with UUSC in its journey for justice through the Guest At Your Table (GAYT) program in the fall and Justice Sunday in the spring. Last fall, through the GAYT program we donated over $11,000 through online giving, the boxes, and special gifts, making us part of the journey for justice.
Our special offering on March 17th is another opportunity for us to “Join Together for Justice.” The UUSC web site, can provide you with all the information you need to understand the breadth and depth of the journey for justice. Or, if you prefer hard-copy material, visit the UUSC Justice Table in the parish hall during coffee hour.
Please be generous with your contributions by writing a check or giving online at UUSC, here.
This link takes you directly to the donation page and form, and invites you to give monthly-a good idea, if you possibly can. If you have questions about or would like to discuss UUSC and its work, please call or text Doyle Dobbins at 302-540-7593 or Beverley Baxter at 302-530-2332
