Palmer School Teacher Appreciation

Did you know the Elbert Palmer Elementary School in Southbridge is closing at the end of this school year? We have had a relationship with this school for a number of years and we are saddened by this news. The teachers work so hard and they sometimes feel the community does not care about them or their student population. Let’s show them we care!

We want to honor the teachers at Elbert Palmer during Teacher Appreciation Week (5/6 – 5/10). We are going to deliver goodies to them on Monday, May 6.
Please bring items to church on Sunday, May 5 (Yes, the last day of candidating!). We will collect them in the church library before the service (10 – 10:25 a.m.). We are only collecting a few “fresh” items and the rest should be packaged so they will last for the week without refrigeration.

Watch your E-news later this spring. We are planning an event to help teachers pack up at the end of the school year.
