On June 10, a young woman was driving southbound on Concord Pike and lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway. She jumped the curb near our electronic sign, but did not hit it. Instead, she slammed into our banner support structure, and slightly damaged one of our trees. All of the posts were destroyed although it appears the banners, including the Black Lives Matter, are OK, just muddy. If anyone asks, our Black Lives Matter banner was NOT destroyed in a hate attack. The driver is bruised and will be very sore, but did not suffer a serious injury. Her car was totaled.
