Thank you, Questers!!!!

A great big THANK YOU from ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) goes out to our 4th, 5th and 6th grade Questers for the fantastic Family Night they held last Friday evening! They made chili, had a caramel apple station and thought up lots of fun games which made for a very special evening. Rounding out the night was a campfire complete with toasted marshmallows for s’mores. There was also a NAK (New Apartment Kit) relay race that both kids and adults had great fun with.
The Questers had this event as a fundraiser to support the ILYA NAK project. The $5 entrance fee and sale of desserts and snacks raised over $300. Many folks also brought products that are part of the kits that go to the youth transitioning out of foster care into their first apartment as independent young adults. The kits provide basic household items such as household paper products and cleaning supplies, some personal care items as well as kitchen basics. ILYA and the NAK team are very proud to join hands with our Questers as we serve together in support of foster care children in northern Delaware. We thank them and the adults who supported the effort as coordinators, helper chefs and attendees. It was fun shared by all!
