Art Gallery December/January

Our next display in our Art Gallery, outside the Brunner Chapel and Music Room, is coming soon, and we’re looking for YOU to display your art and other creative works!
Our display will be focused on the following Soul Matters themes:
What Does It Mean to be a People of…
November – Attention
The practice of reshaping our lives by shifting where we look
The practice of listening to what life is trying to say
December – Awe
The practice of remembering that it’s all a gift
The practice of noticing the sacred everywhere you turn
January- Integrity
The practice of living from the inside out
The practice of refusing to hide
We welcome art ready for hanging. Please bring your contributions to the church office by Sunday, December 1 and let us know they’re there. Be sure to include your name and a short description of how your piece reflects the one of the three themes. Our display will be up through the end of January. We welcome artists of all ages and media to engage with us in this creative way of exploring our monthly Soul Matters themes. Submit your paintings, photography, woven pieces and other creative works any month you feel inspired. Works might be something you’ve already completed or might be something new.
If writing is more your creative outlet and you would like to submit a short piece or poetry suitable for framing, based on the monthly theme, those are also welcome. Your submissions should be ready for hanging. Please let us know if you need assistance with preparing your piece for display. If you have questions, send them to art@firstuuwilm.org or speak with David Weiss or Nancy Pinson on Sundays.
If you’re thinking ahead, here are the themes for February through June:
February: Resilience
March: Wisdom
April: Liberation
May: Thresholds
June: Play
