No, not the official holiday but until the deadline we have to meet to get all of our Holiday Giving wrapped and ready to be packed up and delivered to young people who have aged out of foster care. These young people are out on their own and won’t have much holiday without us. ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) still has lists for young people waiting for volunteers and we need your help.
Wish lists will be available at the Christmas tree in the Parish Hall during coffee hour the next 2 Sundays. Individual items requested are great if a whole list is more than your time or budget will allow. And donations of any amount or gift cards are also very welcomed.
Carolyn Gibson is the project leader and she and her helpers will be more than happy to match you up with whatever you feel you can do. While you’re there, take a look at the collage from last year to see the joy this brings to the young people who don’t have families that support them.
