Yikes! There are only 2 weeks left before ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) wraps up the Holiday Giving project for this year… AND WE STILL HAVE QUITE A FEW WISH LISTS NEEDING VOLUNTEERS! A number of people have given cash or checks so we know we’ll be shopping. But we don’t have enough to shop for all the lists that are still left.
We need to be ready for the wrapping party that Martha Gessler will be hosting on December 6th at her house, along with Carolyn Gibson, our project manager. That means everyone who volunteered to take a list or item from a list to purchase, needs to bring their donations this Sunday. If you can’t make it this Sunday, December 1 is your last opportunity.
Carolyn and Martha have to perform many steps to make this project a success and mostly behind the scenes. Please thank them for all their hard work but even more, offer them support by helping with your donation or by purchasing something on a remaining list. And check out the collage of the happiness this project has brought to youth who have no one else. It’s by the table with the Christmas tree during coffee hour. Thanks for your support!
