You Did It Again!

Because of the generous support from the First U congregation and friends, it’s another successful Holiday Giving this year. The last minute shopping was done with the help of all the financial contributions you gave. And all the gifts you donated and those we purchased have been wrapped up and are ready for the Independent Living Coordinators to take to the youth who have aged out of foster care.
Requests ran the gamut from gift cards (many requests for them) to laptops for school support; from clothes to bus passes; from TVs to kitchen and apartment supplies; and from child development toys to a large mirror.
Thirty-one families, 6 with children, are getting Christmas joy because of you and your support. Carolyn Gibson, Martha Gessler, Betty Weir and Erik Goodlett were the core team who facilitated the whole project and deserve big congratulations and many thanks. But the whole ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) team knows we couldn’t be successful without the fantastic support you give us all year long and for that we say a huge CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND MANY THANKS!
