Christmas Eve Special Offerings

Our Special Offering at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Service will support Lutheran Community Services (LCS). LCS has been serving low-income families in Wilmington and New Castle County, with emergency food, housing and other services since 1959. When congregants or community members ask First Unitarian for help, we often refer them to the LCS for assistance. We need your support to aid those in need.
At the Candlelight Service (Music at 7:40 p.m., Worship at 8:00 p.m.) we will donate our offering to UU House Outreach. Guided by Unitarian values, UU House Outreach honors the worth and dignity of every person. They provide free confidential support to older adults, age sixty and older, who live independently in Northwest Philadelphia. Any amount you are able to give will go directly to meeting basic needs of the lower-income older adults whom we serve. For more information about UU House, please click here to view a video with Bill Hardham and Sara Popkin, the Executive Director of Outreach. Although they could not be in church with us on December 24, they wanted to provide a personal message to our congregation.
