Money Mythbusters: An Online Stewardship Conference takes place on Saturday, January 25, 2020. This event includes keynote speaker Elizabeth Ann Terry, a planned discussion and three workshop sessions, all online. Teams are encouraged to attend together and make time after the event for processing and sharing learning. Multiple logins are permitted with a team registration (you don’t all have to be in the same room!) Can’t attend or don’t have the whole day available? We will record all of the presentations and make them available to registered congregations. Registration is open!
CERSI (Summer Institute) is looking for a few good folks to help create this summer’s SI magic in California, PA from July 12-18, 2020. If you are interested in teaching in the children’s program, driving a golf cart, or being a nurse, among other things, please consider filling out an application here: These positions all come with a campership which can be applied to your CERSI fees for the week. Jubilee Anti-Racism Training helps participants understand what is involved in nurturing a multicultural community and working against racism in all of its forms. The workshop requires a weekend commitment; and it is worth every minute of that commitment. There are several offerings of this training being planned around the region this winter and spring. Current dates are:
* January 17-19, 2020, All Souls in Washington DC, Registration is open
* March 27-29, 2020, UUs of Delaware County, Media, PA, Registration is open
* April 10-12, 2020, First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY
* An additional date in May is currently being considered.
UUMAC, or the Unitarian Universalist Mid-Atlantic Community, gathers together for one week each year to build community and deepen their Unitarian Universalist faith through fun, friendship, music, dancing, learning and worship. They are an intergenerational community that uses this time to more thoroughly get to know each other. They meet July 12-18, 2020 on the campus of DeSales University near Allentown, PA.
