Make Reusable Bags for Wilmington Residents.
Please join us in Parish Hall on Sunday, February 9th from 2:30- 5 p.m. when we will change t-shirts into reusable shopping bags. The new Delaware law to ban plastic bags is starting in 2021 and we want to make bags for people that will need them. Our Environmental Justice Task Force has joined up with Plastic-Free Delaware  to host this event.
Please bring your old t-shirts, sewing machine and extension cord if you have one. Don’t sew? Bring scissors to help cut the shirts to be sewn. Don’t sew or cut, bring yourself with or without some snacks to share (no nuts please). There will be plenty of shirts to work on and plenty of extra supplies.
