Many Hands Make the Work Lighter

What a wonderful celebration we had last Sunday! ILYA’s (Independent Living for Young Adults) 15th year of service! And how warmly you welcomed our special guests! Everyone from the youth who participated in the service to the Independent Living Coordinators and Delaware’s director of Independent Living all felt the love.
And the ILYA team felt the love too with the generous support we received. The donations totaled $2,070!! We appreciate being able to continue our work to bring services to these most deserving young people who have aged out of foster care. But we need more helping hands.
Could you be a church/project liaison, a communications coordinator, an event coordinator, an outreach coordinator or a baby shower project leader? All of these tasks are currently being done by team members who also handle other areas of the team’s work so helping out wouldn’t be a huge commitment. But it would help lighten the load of people who have been working hard for a long time. Won’t you consider making this part of your stewardship commitment?
Check out the information on our FaceBook page, email us for information or talk to a team member. It’s a great way to get to know folks, have some fun and really make a difference in a young person’s life.
