Trigger warning: Mention of Sexual Violence
On August 9, our special offering will benefit the Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence (DAASV). We will be showing a short video containing the mention of sexual violence, but will not be sharing specific stories of sexual violence.
The DAASV is Delaware’s newly formed, federally designated, independent sexual assault coalition, tasked with building community among service providers, developing statewide best practices, identifying and addressing gaps in services to survivors of sexual violence, and providing technical assistance and training to law enforcement, court systems, medical providers and others who may interact with survivors. The DAASV mission is to create an inclusive community that supports survivors through advocacy, intervention and awareness, with the ultimate goal to eliminate all forms of sexual violence in Delaware.
In order to receive guaranteed federal funding earmarked for Delaware, DAASV must fundraise enough to hire and compensate an Executive Director until federal funds are received. They are grateful for our consideration in helping them fund an Executive Director, and for our committment to addressing sexual violence in Delaware. Learn more at their web site, here.
