Sam Stubblefield
Sam Stubblefield died on Tuesday, July 28 after fighting metastatic lung cancer for years. Sam, Liz Muth, and their children, Drew and Evan, have been part of our First Unitarian Church community in recent years participating in religious education and worship. Sam was a well loved pediatric hospitalist at Nemours where he directed their fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He was an active advocate for children through his role as Vice President of the Delaware chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His main involvement at church was creating the sanctuary remodel video for the capital campaign. We are grateful for Sam’s advocacy in the community and we extend our care and concern to his family. Memorial service information will be shared as it becomes available.
