In the June 12th ENews I shared information regarding Children and Youth Religious Exploration for 2020/2021. Throughout the summer Rev. Pam and I have continued talking and making plans for the church year. As the summer progressed, Rev. Pam and I decided to alter the original plan.

The plans for Youth Group (9th – 12th grades) and Explorers (6th – 8th grades) will remain the same. Youth Group will meet every other week with a focus on Anti Racism/Anti Oppression. Explorers will explore our Unitarian Universalist beliefs and how these beliefs already do, or can, influence how they live their lives.

Pre Kindergarten – 5th graders will attend the worship service on Sunday mornings. The first 15 – 20 minutes of the service will be intentionally multi-generational. We think that will help our children feel connected to their church community without causing additional Zoom fatigue.

Additionally, we are looking into providing an opportunity for 8th and 9th graders to participate in an online sexuality education program. This program is not OWL, but will provide an appropriate, online sexual education program.
