With sadness we announce the death of John Kane, a long time member of First Unitarian, who died on September 15 at the age of 73. During his career, John worked for the largest chemical (Dupont), pharmaceutical (Pfizer), and food/nutrition (Nestle) companies in the world, until his retirement in 2017. John and his wife Phyllis joined First Unitarian in 1994 and raised their son Chris in the church. He loved nature, gardening, travel, outdoor activities, and especially birding. Friends and family will miss John’s kindness, humor, and loving influence in their lives.
We extend our care and concern to his wife of 32 years, Phyllis, his children, Chris Kane of Wilmington, John Todd Kane of Philadelphia, Elizabeth M. Kane of Boynton Beach, Florida, and three grandchildren and to all who are missing his presence in their lives.
