Every month, the Environmental Justice Task Force (EJTF) challenges you to make a change that will directly impact the environment. This month, we are asking you to encourage your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors to vote at the November elections. This might be the most important challenge all year. You can inspire others by getting an electric car, putting solar panels on your house, and going vegan, but in order to make a global difference, we need to enact policies that place more value on the environment and less value on making money for corporations. One study argued that just 100 companies are responsible for 71 percent of global emissions.
How can we fight against this? By getting people to vote! The Sierra Club is encouraging people to write letters to voters reminding them of the importance of how their vote affects our environment.
