Guest At Your Table 2020

What is the meaning of home when sea water threatens to submerge your home because of climate change? The Marshall Islands Conservation Society (MICS) with support from the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) has developed tools to help islanders facing sea level rise and severe flooding. Flood risk maps developed by MICS equip community members with information they need to make decisions about their future when climate change may result in forced relocation. Because UUSC partners with local organizations, indigenous-led responses advance self-determination for islanders. While the threat of rising seas seems overwhelming, the UUSC empowers people to take control of their own lives. Be a part of UUSC’s work for climate justice by making a generous contribution at this link.
