IN SUPPORT OF UUSCIN SUPPORT OF UUSC

Just to let you know – – – – – – –
Our Guest-At-Your-Table (GAYT) program, October through December 2020, was quite successful, in spite of all the limitations and restriction, due to COVID-19. Donations to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), during those three months came to $5,109.53. About $1,500 of that total was from honey sales. So, we did quite well.
All of the GAYT donations are used by UUSC to support it’s human rights and social justice work around the world, working with local partners in over 20 different countries on humanitarian crises, climate change disasters, justice for refugees, economic justice, and racial justice.
Members and friends of 1st Unitarian of Wilmington also contribute in other ways throughout the year. This is very good, and, it is important to contribute as often and as substantially as we can, because when we do, we ARE putting our values to work around the world.
The need is overwhelming, so let’s keep doing our part to make difference. Current information about all of UUSC’s work can be accessed here.
And, by the way, Doyle still has honey for sale, with all proceeds going UUSC. Contact Doyle at d.dobbins@verizon.net or call him at 302-540-7593.
