The Solar Team and Environmental Justice Task Force invite you to an informational question and answer session about our proposed solar project on Wednesday, May 5th at 7:30 p.m.

Several members have pledged to support the project bringing our commitments to 46 panels out of the 100 panels maximum that the RE wing roof could support. Additional pledges can be added anytime though we are asking that people wait until after congregational approval at the annual meeting to submit their donations.
Delaware solar energy grants to nonprofits will share 50% of the project costs.
Part of each panel purchase will go into a green energy account to support maintenance and any new green energy initiatives.
The team is developing what we believe to be an affordable and sustainable way forward by installing a renewable energy project that will show our commitment to our seventh principle and Green Sanctuary status as well as reducing our energy costs.

Following approval at the annual meeting, there will be a window from May 16th to May 31st to add your support after which we will know the size of the project and hire a contractor.

We are excited to hear from our beloved community about how we would like to support this effort.
