Our Second Sunday Special Offering on June 13 will support UUDAN, our very own UU legislative advocacy initiative for Delaware. The purpose of UUDAN is to educate, mobilize, and coordinate UUs on advocacy for social justice issues in the State of Delaware in coalition with other advocacy organizations. UUDAN strives to contribute to the community of UU congregations in Delaware by offering members of UU congregations the opportunity to engage with legislative advocacy.

In addition to your financial gifts this week, we invite you to join UUDAN. There are many ways to get involved such as attending our monthly meetings, crafting e-mail blasts that connect current legislation to our UU values, and testifying during public comment when the legislature considers the issues that are important to us. We have many active legislative portfolios including criminal justice, economic justice, education equity, electoral justice, and environmental justice. If we have more UUs involved, we have more opportunity to share our UU values with our legislature.
