We are ready to sign a contract, send the deposit and proceed with the solar project. The Solar Team received commitment from the congregation for the full array for the newer education wing roof. Once Clean Energy comes and does a final assessment, we will see the design layout, fill out the grant paperwork and make our first installment. A timeline can then be established for installation. Since the state doesn’t pay grant money until the project is complete, we appreciate Clean Energy’s willingness to carry that half of the monies until grant money is received.

The system will be 95 x 365W panels and should produce about 1/3 of our electrical power. At a time when it looks like energy costs will be rising, this will be a positive investment for our congregation and the planet as we move away from fossil fuels.
