Repeat Three Times—Reverend Larry Is A Contract Minister
As Reverend Larry Peers officially begins his ministry with us, we hope to clarify the nature of his role. Your Board of Trustees hired Reverend Larry as a contract minister. He is not an interim minister. Nor is he a developmental minister. This may sound like administrative gobbledy-gook, but it is an important difference.

This is a long Board Plank, so here is the bottom line up front. Reverend Larry is our minister. He is not here to prepare us for someone else. He does not have to be a short-timer. He can be with us for as long as the ministerial relationship is working. We do not need to go into search until we want to. We can continue to benefit from Reverend Larry’s leadership. And if we think Reverend Larry is doing a great job and want to make him a called minister, we can do that.
