The church year is off to a good start. The church office is open M-F, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and we are looking for a few more office volunteers. Duties include answering the phones, greeting visitors and general office support. Depending on your area of interest and comfort with a computer, you can help with financial functions, database entry, membership and usher support, help prepare materials for children’s programs, support publicity efforts and more. If you are not comfortable using a computer, no worries! The most important requirement is ability to answer the phone and field inquiries so that the staff can focus on tasks instead of stopping to answer the phone.

We have slots on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday afternoons. We also need one or two substitute volunteers to provide coverage when needed. This is a great way to learn what it takes to “make church” each week, contribute to our mission, and visit with church friends who stop by. Email Marina at marina@firstuuwilm.org if interested.
