“Expanding Our Circle & Closing the Gap”

A Supplemental Stewardship Drive to Strengthen our Connections

Today, you may access all of our First Unitarian Church’s worship services, faith development and other programming either online or in our building (as pandemic conditions allow.)

We have been expanding our capacity to provide quality experiences across all generations online during this pandemic. Since reopening our building on September 12th we are now also able to:
Worship in our sanctuary and livestream our services
Offer faith development for our children and youth both on our campus and through video programs and resources
Provide many of our programs “face-to-face” or online
Provide easy access for visitors and potential members to experience First Unitarian Church

When we passed our budget last May, we had a line item for new positions which we had not yet defined. In June, we identified two key positions, an Audio Visual Staff Tech Lead and an assistant teacher or “Guide” in our children and youth faith development program. With existing pledge funds, we were only able to fund these positions through December 2021.

Now, we know that it is vital to our congregation that we continue to fund these positions in order to continue allowing members and friends of First Unitarian Church to fully participate at the level that they feel comfortable. Moreover, by live-streaming our offerings, we provide an opportunity for visitors and potential members to experience First Unitarian Church in an easy, accessible way.

In order to be faithful to our mission to be “a beloved community that nourishes minds and spirits”, during this pandemic and beyond, we are launching a supplemental stewardship drive during the month of October to raise $37,000.

Please make your pledge to this supplemental drive by October 31, 2021.

You can pledge online at this link.

If you prefer to print and fill out a paper form, please click here.

We will also have paper pledge forms available in the church office and at the back of the church on Sunday mornings throughout the month. If you use our electronic giving tools and wish to pay your supplemental pledge using the same service, please be sure to update your authorization to match the new amount, either online, here, or on paper, here.

If you prefer, you can also call Chrissy in the church office at 302-478-2384 on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. She can take your pledge and update your giving authorizations.
