“Expanding Our Circle & Closing the Gap”

Thank you to everyone who has made a supplemental pledge so far! We have received 10 supplemental pledges in excess of $20,000. Thank you!!

During COVID restrictions, it was such a blessing to be able to continue to have the connection to and support of First U. While it certainly wasn’t the same as physically being together, seeing friendly greetings in the chat box online at least felt a little bit communal. And having the link to share with others in the community actually brought visitors, some of whom came back for subsequent services.

Given the continuation of COVID’s impact with variants and restrictions, it remains important to be able to provide connection and support to all of our members and visitors, young and old, fully able and differently abled, whether in-person or remote. The AV team, with Jon Claney’s leadership as Audio Visual Staff Tech Lead gives us a very professional online experience so everyone can worship together.

And thinking of our children and youth… they have had a particularly challenging time with such instability and almost all of their activities limited or altered. Giving them the best experience we can with programing that is supportive, challenging and growth producing is an important part of our mission. Doing that well requires having sufficient staff which we achieved by hiring a part-time RE Guide.

To continue to provide the services that makes us faithful to our mission, to keep us all connected, supported and growing in our spiritual journey as a beloved community, First U needs your support.
