Calling First Unitarian to help our liberal partners with this postcard campaign.
Please Write Quickly! Deadline Monday, October 25!
You only need to write 2 POSTCARDS!
Delaware Senators Coons and Carper have sponsored the voting rights bills pending before the Senate but they have not said that they will support modification of the filibuster so that these bills can become law. To help them understand how many of their constituents want these federal voting rights protections, we are calling upon Delawareans to write their reasons on postcards which will be hand delivered to our Senators.
Each person in your household (kids are constituents too!) can write one postcard to each senator: one to Senator Coons and one to Senator Carper.
Use any blank postcard, card stock, or even cardboard to write your message (4×6, 3×5, 5×7 or similar sizes are fine).
Write the Senator’s name on one side
Write your return address (at least your zip code) and message on the other side.
There’s no need to stamp or fully address these cards as they will be hand delivered
Click this link for a example message and for delivery information.
Postcards will be gathered, counted and weighed.
* Postcards will be hand delivered to the Senate on Tuesday, October 26 with a car parade.
*To show them the “weight” of our commitment to protecting voting rights.
Remember:
No stamps needed. Do not mail. Only one to each senator per person in the household.
